Delta-Rho Chartering Weekend
June 1-2, 1928
The Phil Schreiber Memorial Library and Archives in the new house is lacking in a great deal of our history. Over time, possibly with the move, with possible pilfering by other Greeks, and maybe some past souvenir seekers, mementos of our history are missing. What might you have hiding in a box in the attic or basement that would contribute to documenting our history from every era back to 1928?
What are we seeking? Pretty much anything and everything. We would rather at least have an opportunity to consider adding things to our archive than missing the opportunity as things go to charities, garage sales, or to family members who will not appreciate the possible significance or know how to get things to us. So we are asking for your help in finding and collecting:
Keys, Fobs, composites (large or small), trophies, flags, ritual materials (Why do you even have these?), certificates, plaques, art work, mugs, glasses, invitations, and even some old Caduceus issues. The point is that you might be sitting on something that reflects an aspect of our history that might be forever lost if not for your attention to this today. We now have a place to collect and preserve them.
Any donations will be acknowledged. We cannot promise that it will be put on display. It depends on how many donations we get and how they can best be displayed or preserved. Before they are lost forever, however, we ask that you consider donating anything you might have.
Very importantly – THIS IS A NO QUESTIONS ASKED request. We do not care HOW you came to have these items. We only care that they be returned to the house for future generations of brothers.
How do you do this? Simply mail, ship, or otherwise deliver items.
