The newly-established Kappa Sigma Delta-Rho Educational Foundation is set up as an IRS-designated 501(c)(3) charitable foundation. Accordingly, all gifts to the Charitable Foundation are tax-deductible. The Foundation’s legal counsel (Fraternal Law Partners – www.fraternallaw.com) has determined that once expanded and renovated, 20% of 441 College Avenue will be ‘educational’.
Accordingly, the Foundation can raise up to 20% of the $1.1 million total project cost through charitable contributions, then make an educational grant to the Star & Crescent Alumni Association, which owns the new property.
